22.07.24 08:00 – an hour ago i was sound asleep, knowing i had a couple more hours of shut eye before i had to get ready for work (work starts at 11:00 on thursdays).
context – my sister is headed to uni in amsterdam soon so the family are getting ready to head off any minute from dubai but the parents are waiting on their schengen visa to come through.
22.07.24 08:30 – mom calls, tells me they won’t be getting their visa for another couple weeks so i need to hop on a flight tomorrow to go drop my sister off to uni.
not going to lie, i thought i was dreaming for a good 10 minutes. frank & i were planning on spending the weekend in london so amsterdam and my sister is definitely an upgrade. also, the timing couldn’t have been better because we’ve got a long weekend in england, bank holidays and stuff…
anyway, time to pack, book stuff and wrap up work for the weekend.
