it has been a good minute since I last wrote on here so I think it’s time for an update.
a couple of things have happened in the last few months, my sister came to visit us from amsterdam. it was very much an impromptu decision so we were really excited to see her since we really didn’t know when we’d see her next. it was a short few days during which we succumbed to old habits – late night indomie, scary movies, gossip & brain rot on social media! the highlight was taking her to see Windsor Castle, we felt very english – dare I admit that despite living 15 minutes away it was the first time I had seen the castle too.
it was that weekend i was introduced to the cinnamon socials at ole & steen?! they must put crack in them because i helped myself to 3 slices in 1 sitting. if you don’t know, get to know.
we also attempted “the long walk” – it’s this extremely straight path from the great windsor park I believe … leading up all the way to the entrance of the windsor castle. emphasis on attempt because we backed down halfway finishing at 18,000 steps. walking 18,000 steps in a straight line is no easy feat!
we came back the weekend after to complete the walk and treated ourselves to an all you can eat chinese buffet and another 3 cinnamon socials!
so what else? i got to see some of my really close friends from high school after five years. we all live in england, about an hour away from eachother (i know! jail us for going that long without meeting!!) i have to mention that within those five years, 2 were occupied with mr.sars-cov-2 lockdowns in different countries. it was the nicest day we grubbed on some delicious thai at this place called plaza khao gaeng – the spread was pork, beef, chicken, some roti and rice. it was honestly the best thai i’ve had in london.
oh, we also had a little halloween dress-up, potluck at work, where some of us dressed up and cooked a couple dishes. I kept it very basic as bambi thanks to same-day delivery by amazon and tiktok.
i tried making some cinnamon rolls granted it wasn’t my best work but i’m just a girl, what can you do.
finally, the click bait … i am thinking about chopping off my hair. this is the longest i’ve ever had my hair since 2019 – it’s down to the arch at my lower back and i’m kind of getting bored of it. i don’t think I’ve made the executive decision to do it just yet but it’s in the back of my mind and the next time you hear from me I might be a bob girl. until then,
