i am honestly the happiest girl ever as i type this because our new carpet has finally arrived!! the fastest way to make me happy is by giving me an empty space and an unlimited budget because i will flip that place right up. 

we’ve had the craziest experience since moving down south from leeds (uk), we live about a 5h drive south now. when we moved, we said yes to the first place that would accept us + it was a virtual viewing because no one was going to do a 5h road trip for a viewing. 

we moved in and it was the cutest thing. we were so happy because we were living in a studio in leeds so to now have a wall separating the living space and the bedroom was a dream. we also didn’t have any furniture because our old studio came furnished so that’s a daunting to do that will probably never be fully be completed. 

so little by little, we started getting the necessities, filling this place up with what we could. we didn’t want to splurge because we were in saving mode. but soon once the rainier season came around we learnt that the building had a massive fault and big fat mould was our roommate.

a shitty landlord and a 18 months later we basically had to evict ourselves out of there. but… silver linings because we found the most beautiful one bedroom apartment in town and took the opportunity. it is slightly bigger which means filling it up is going to take some time but it’s been 8 months and i think we’re making good progress!

so yeah, our new carpet arrived yesterday and i’m in love! we travel often so it was easy to ignore the fact that our old apartment was bare bones and moldy, but it’s such a great feeling to not want to leave your little “home” for once. next up has got to be filling up these white walls.
