game of thrones

my partner and basically the entire world has been trying to convince me to start game of thrones. *what i am about to say will trigger a lot of fans* i started it, and the first 3 seasons – a waste of a lot of time. would not recommend, read a thorough synopsis of it online, learn the characters and relationships and start from season 4. order some thai while you’re at it, pairs well together.

private health insurance in the uk is a godsend

i resumed work from sick leave but monday was funny with an unexpected at home ambulance check. my asthma’s back, was told i needed a chest xray, taken to the hospital, was told to wait in the van for an hour, then told that i would only see a doctor after 4h. that’s a 5h wait and mind you, it was also 30C in the uk – it’s nothing compared to the middle east and asia but in housing without air conditioning, it feels hot!

anyway, if they’d make me wait that long, i clearly wasn’t dying. so back home i went. i was also very angry and hungry and hot. that’s the national healthcare system for you. i might sound spoiled if this is normal in other countries, it’s just not what i am used to.

fun fact

i can’t sleep with my ears exposed. i need to be sleeping on my side with one ear in the pillow and a blanket over the other.

that’s all for today, i think i’ll have some take out for dinner – maybe thai.
