she’s a graduate

she’s a graduate, just thought you’d like to know.

i completed my degree 2 years ago but that was also at the rear end of a 2 year long pandemic so i deferred the graduation until the family could fly in with no other commitments.

i live in the south now, so it did mean a little trek up north. crazy that it also meant a 10 degree drop in temperature? it was only a 2h train. why do trains in the uk cost a kidney? frank and i could fly a return trip to prague at the cost of it per person.

the ceremony was quick, maybe an hour at max. which was not what I expected considering how much money the institutions make. my highschool graduation ceremony was at least thrice as long and possibly even better? it was still a beautiful day and slightly emotional at the sight of how much it meant to my parents. but before too long started the master’s talk and that’s where this is going to end for now.

i’ll see you on the next one.
