it’s 26th july 2024, i’ve made the decision to start a blog. about what? i’m not sure, why not my life?

(p.s: although i created this blog on 26th july 2024, i still have some posts that predate this because i still want to document those experiences here)

but i just turned 23, so do i skip the last 2 decades and start now or do we go back in time?

i think i’ll start somewhere in between, give you the status quo and i’m sure i’ll eventually delve into specific moments from the past or even dedicate chapters to it.

so to start, i love my life. i love the ugly, i love the fun, i love the boring, i love the people in it, i love it all. i also think i might be kind of crazy because i don’t know what goes on in most people’s heads but mine is a constant monologue. so the main purpose byloshani.com serves is to capture that monologue, document moments, experiences and make some new friends along the way.

what’s the status quo?

i just turned 23.

i’m the oldest child, i’ve got a little sister.

i’m the mother to a 11 year old puppy named, molly.

i studied at the university of leeds in the uk.

i’ve been working for almost 2 years now, i do digital marketing – it’s fun, i like it.

no, i did not study digital marketing. i graduated with a bsc in biotechnology and enterprise.

i’m sri lankan, raised in dubai and my partner’s czech – so home is everywhere and we try to travel around as much as we can.

we live in a little town outside of london and mostly enjoy the quiet life.

we also did just move into a new little flat, my favorite so far – so the adulting is really taking its toll.

i’m a family person, “homesick” is my middle name.

i think i’m having an early life crisis, but i’ll keep you posted on that in the next pieces.

it’s a friday night and my last day of sick leave, so the plan is to reheat some soup and allow my boyfriend to convince me into binging game of thrones.
